Friday 14 July saw our Charity Golf Day raise more than £1,500, to be divided between the charities Young Carers, YoungMinds, Hope4 and New Directions.

Sickleholme Golf Club in the Hope Valley was the location for the event with individuals and teams of four paying to complete 18 holes of four ball Stableford (best 3 from 4) golf.

The chance to win a family holiday to Walt Disney World in Florida or a luxury Caribbean cruise in return for a hole in one wasn’t claimed but other prizes were and a charity auction of framed sports memorabilia and a raffle took place and was a great success.

Amongst the prizes on offer were tickets to watch Sheffield United (the longest drive secured those), the chance to drive a Jaguar car for the weekend (nearest the pin), various leisure pursuit vouchers, rail tickets, hair products and golf balls.

All prizes were generously donated by companies including Laser Zone, Xplore, Sheffield United FC, Delta Force Paintball, Gravity Trampoline Park, Experience Days, Jump Inc, Virgin Trains, Boulders, London Duck Tours, Salon Success Ltd/Paul Mitchell and Titleist.
