We are a specialist team that can secure grant funding for R&D, capital purchases and business growth. Our team will search out the best grant(s) for each client.

Duties and accountabilities

  • To undertake the high quality generation and submission of Research and Development (R&D) proposals designed to lead to funded projects capable of satisfying the client’s requirements
  • Writes an agreed number of proposals per year as lead writer
  • Provides help to other writers in concept generation workshops
  • Leads the negotiation of their successful proposals through the Innovate UK/H2020 etc. process
  • Delivers key tasks on funded H2020 Phase 1 projects (technical, market and/or commercial case) in order to write H2020 Phase 2 proposals
  • As appropriate, can be seconded to work on non R&D proposals (growth grants, R&D loans, tenders etc.), replacing their R&D writing commitments as agreed.
  • Skills, knowledge and experience
  • Minimum of Honours Degree in a scientific/technical discipline or business degree
  • Strong self-starter, and completer/finisher
  • Preferably has experience of publically funded R&D models including H2020 and Innovate UK, especially relating to the creation of proposals and contract negotiation
  • Excellent communicator: Communicates mainly orally and also in writing, internally and externally, ensuring consistency, clarity and full understanding
  • Shows broad knowledge of technical subjects and the ability to understand the basic concepts of new technologies quickly. A keen problem solver.
