A dynamic environment
Abbey Tax Protection is a trading division of Abbey Protection Group Limited, specialists in services and insurance products for the accountancy and legal professions. Established in 1992, we have enjoyed dynamic but managed growth with an annual turnover now well in excess of £25million.
Flexibility from independence
As a privately owned Group, we are able to adapt rapidly to legislative and regulatory change without the burden of the lengthy decision chains found in larger organisations. In many ways, our business is very similar to those operated by our professional clients. We consider this synergy, in combination with our independence, a key factor in our dramatic growth.
Insurance pedigree
We have a long-term binding authority in place with Brit Insurance Limited, which gives us considerable flexibility and control over our insurance contracts and as an insurance intermediary authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), we advise on non-investment insurance contracts. A proportion of the underwriting risk is administered through our Guernsey based captive subsidiary, Ibex Reinsurance Company Limited, which allows us to deliver long-term certainty to our clients, in an otherwise fluctuating insurance market.
